Song writer, musician in concert

Award-winning Nashville recording artist, songwriter and classical guitarist Andy Hackbarth presents a concert with his trio on Saturday, October 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Robert A. Peck Arts Center Theatre at Central Wyoming College.

 

This concert is sponsored by Arts in Action and the Central Wyoming College Music Department. General admission tickets are available at the CWC Box Office through the night of the show, and are $10 for adults and $5 for students.


Hackbarth holds a Bachelor of Music in classical guitar performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has studied with some the world’s most highly-respected musicians, including John Williams, Christopher Parkening, Elliot Fisk, Ricardo Iznaola and Juilliard’s Sharon Isbin and Kevin Gallagher.


The artist was previously on the music faculty at the University of Colorado, where he taught guitar, theory, and songwriting for three years during graduate studies. He has worked with children, teens and adults at schools, libraries, and community education centers throughout the country, and he continues to make outreach opportunities an integral part of his touring schedule. During a three-day residency, the songwriter will also work with students in the local schools and at Central Wyoming College.


He is currently based out of Denver, and Nashville, Tenn., where he writes and records with some of the biggest names in the music industry. He has shared the stage with Los Lobos, David Archuleta, Melissa Etheridge, Lonestar, Jimmy Wayne, Matt Nathanson, Keb Mo, John Oates, Sam Bush, Matt Kearney and many others.
