Application for Graduation

Students who are in the final semester of completing the published requirements for one or more Central certificates and/or degrees must submit a completed application for graduation. 

In order to move you through the graduation process, the registrar will need a completed FREE application for graduation.  This will ensure your preferences are honored for diploma name, address, attendance at the spring commencement ceremony should you choose to attend, and publication of your degree.  PLEASE NOTE – An application is required whether or not you plan to attend the commencement ceremony.

You can complete the FREE Application for Graduation by going to the Rustler Central App in my Central.  Click into the ‘Graduation Overview’ option and complete the application.

Application deadlines are as follows:

Fall 2019- October 15, 2019
Spring 2020 - March 1, 2020
Summer 2020 - July 15, 2020

Spring 2020 Ceremonies

Central Wyoming College administrators decided March 19 to cancel the 2020 graduation ceremonies which include CWC and CWC Jackson’s nurses pinning ceremonies, the 2020 graduation commencement at both CWC and CWC Jackson, and the high school equivalency graduation. The decision was made in recommendation with the Center for Disease Control.

CWC plans to create an alternative way to help students celebrate their success with graduating. Currently, the CDC is recommending that all events be canceled of more than 250 people and to cancel gatherings of more than 10 people for organizations that serve higher-risk populations. At a substantial level of community transmission, it is recommended to cancel mass gatherings of any size, according to the CDC website. 

All students who have successfully completed their academic requirements and have completed the graduation application which was due March 1, will receive approval for graduation. Graduating students will receive their diplomas in the mail sometime in June.

The CWC nurses pinning was set for May 7 and commencement was set for May 8 in Riverton. CWC Jackson’s nurses pinning and commencement were scheduled for May 10. Students were notified earlier this morning by the vice president for student affairs.
