CWC auditions for Odd Couple, Irish play Sept. 5

January 1, 2012

Central Wyoming College theater director Mike Myers is auditioning actors for two different fall productions and encourages people to audition for one or both plays.

Myers is holding auditions for The Odd Couple and The Magdalen Whitewash on Wednesday, September 5 at 6:30 p.m. on the main stage of the Robert A. Peck Arts Center.

The director said there are roles for six men and two women for The Odd Couple, a popular Neil Simon comedy. For Magdalen Whitewash, an intense new drama from Ireland, parts are available for 14 women, two female children (ages 10-13) and four men.

Myers does not require any preparation from those auditioning and will ask actors to read from the script. He will make scripts available for one night from the Liberal Arts Office, located in the Arts Center.

The Odd Couple is staged Oct. 17-20 at 7:30 p.m., with a 2:30 p.m. matinee set for Oct. 21.
The production of The Magadeln Whitewash marks the third time the drama has been seen in the U.S. It is scheduled for a run beginning with a Dec. 2 matinee and followed by 7:30 p.m. performances on Dec. 6-8.
