CWC has highest national licensing exam pass rate

Central Wyoming College 2011 nursing graduates had the highest pass rates of all Wyoming nursing graduates taking the national licensing exam, NCLEX.

 
According to the Wyoming State Board of Nursing, CWC had a 95 percent pass rate compared to the state pass rate average of 84.24 percent and the national average of 87.90 percent.
 
University of Wyoming graduates in the accelerated Bachelor’s of Science Nursing program came in second at 93.33 percent followed by Western Wyoming Community College at 90.32 percent. Sheridan College earned a 90 percent rate followed by Northwest College in Powell with an 89.19 percent pass rate.
 
UW’s basic BSN program graduates passed at an 85.42 percent rate and Gillette College has 83.33 percent pass rate. Casper College scored an 80 percent pass rate and Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne scored 76.85 percent.
