Duo in Riverton, fiddler and guitarist in Lander

January 1, 2012

The husband and wife duo of Ann and Andy Lowe is the guest artist for the next Hot Notes Cool Nights Concert in the Park in Riverton July 16.

“Swingin’ in the Summer” is the theme for the Central Wyoming College summer band performance in Riverton City Park, and the musicians will play literature ranging from the Beach Boys to Gershwin classics. The theme is carried over to the July 23 concert in Lander City Park, which features a guest performance by guitarist Jeff Troxel and fiddler Trevor Krieger.

At the Riverton concert, Ann and Andy Lowe will perform a mixture of original music and songs by their favorite artists, accompanying themselves on guitar and banjo. The couple started singing together in a bluegrass band and quickly discovered a mutual love of duo harmony.

Troxel and Krieger play traditional and contemporary fiddle and folk music along with their original songs. Both are award-winning musicians who have racked up significant musical accomplishments.

The concerts are scheduled every Monday at 7 p.m. through August 6, alternating between the city parks in Lander and Riverton.
