Photo course aimed at artists

January 1, 2012

Central Wyoming College and the Lander Art Center are joining together to offer a photography course specifically directed at visual artists.

Artists are often required to submit photographs of their art while applying to exhibit, for fellowships or simply to market their work. CWC and the Lander Art Center have developed a three- session photography class to teach artists to how to best showcase their work through photographic images.

The first session is Thursday, Feb. 7, 6-8 p.m. at the CWC Lander Center. Instructor Dannine Donaho follows up on Thursday, Feb. 21, with a 5:30-10 p.m. course at the Lander Art Center. During this session, students are asked to bring up to five pieces of their art to be photographed.

The final session on Thursday, Feb. 28, participants learn to enhance their images with the photo editing software Adobe Photoshop. This session is at the CWC Lander Center from 6-8 p.m.

The cost of the course is $70. For more information, contact the instructor at 438-2116. To register, call the CWC Lander Center, 332-3394.
