January 1, 2013

Marijuana is the subject of the third in a series of Central Wyoming College “Hot Topic” discussions on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 11 a.m. in Robert A. Peck Arts Center Theatre.

Sponsored by the CWC Diversity Committee, a group of invited panelists discuss the pros and cons of decriminalization of marijuana.

Confirmed panelists are Dr. Mona Waheed, a family practice physician and a graduate of CWC; Dr. Berton Toews, a licensed addiction therapist and owner of Wyoming Recovery, LLC; Riverton Chief of Police Mike Broadhead, and Lt. Ted Thayer, an officer with the Bureau of Indian Affairs on the Wind River Reservation.

CWC criminal justice professor Jeff Hosking, a former FBI agent and prosecutor, moderates the panel discussion.

A free soup and salad lunch follows the discussion in the Arts Center Gallery.
