CWC hosts camp for students interested in film and theater

January 1, 2014

To launch its new interdisciplinary program in film and theater, Central Wyoming College in Riverton is hosting a week-long camp in July to give Wyoming high school juniors and seniors hands-on learning experiences in both subjects.

Students reside in campus housing and dine in the Food Court while exploring acting and filmmaking July 20-26. The $140 fee covers all expenses. In addition to recreational activities, participating students will work as a creative team completing a short film. There will also be acting classes each day.

The program combines the two complementary disciplines to prepare students to declare majors and minors at a four-year institution. The students complete general education requirements while choosing electives in film and theater. For more information, contact Theater Director Mike Myers at (307) 855-2217.
