Dr. Clayton A. Arnold, Central Wyoming College Professor Emeritus Passes Away

January 1, 2014

Dr. Clayton A. Arnold, Central Wyoming College Professor Emeritus, passed away on June 10, 2014 at the age of 91. Clayton is survived by his 5 children; Georgia, Howard, Matt Mark and Amy, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Clayton's passion for education led him to a long and wonderful career at CWC, where he taught music and psychology. He began his career at CWC in 1969, and he worked here until his retirement. CWC is lucky to have had Clayton as a faculty member and will cherish his role as a leader, educator, and promoter of truth and wonder to our community.

Clayton and his late, loving wife, Hulda Ann (Sami) had a zest for life and adventure, which first brought them to Wyoming from Arizona and Illinois. Their sense of adventure was contagious to all those around them. Clayton loved exploring the mountains. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and hiking with his family and friends.  He will be remembered as a man of many talents and experiences: a musician, husband, educator, Navy veteran, father, grandfather and adventurer. Most of all he will be remember as a man who lived life to the fullest.

Honoring Clayton's wishes, a private family memorial will take place. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made on your behalf to your local hospice care, CWC Foundation, the Colorado Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corp, or the charity of your choice. Address correspondence to:
