Chuck wagon dinner set for Sept. 8

September 1, 2015

The rodeo booster club will be having a chuck wagon dinner Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 6 pm at the Robert A. Peck Center patio.

The authentic chuck wagon, owned by Randy Kintzler, will be on display and rodeo team members will be serving the Dutch oven meal. This is the second year the rodeo booster club has hosted the event. Last year more than 200 people attended.

“It was a great success and we are hoping to double the attendance this year,” said Drew Schrock, head rodeo coach.

Kent Stockton, rodeo booster club member came up with the idea to help raise funds for the rodeo team.

“The rodeo booster club is active in supporting the team and they help with all the clinics; funding them and helping with recruiting,” Schrock said. “Their support for the team sets CWC aside from other colleges.”

After dinner there will be a live performance from cowgirl singer, Trinity Seely.

Tickets for the chuck wagon dinner are $25 each and can be purchased at CWC student affairs room MH107, Western Supply, KOVE in Lander, KVOW in Riverton or at the CWC building in Lander. Tickets include one free admission one performance at the Rustler roundup rodeo the following weekend, Sept. 11-13.
