Tickets on sale for ‘Rock Your Foundation’ concert

May 7, 2015

Central Wyoming College Foundation will have a “Rock Your Foundation” concert June 20, 2015 at 7 p.m. at the Fremont County Fairgrounds.

The concert will feature Arena, an 80s cover band from Fremont Street in Las Vegas. The band has opened for Kid Rock, Bret Michaels, Three Days Grace and many more. The band plays 80s rock music and dresses up like bands from the era.

“They create an experience for the concert attendee and have several costume changes throughout the four hours that they perform,” said Becky Ruthenbeck, director of the foundation.

John Gabrielsen, professor of radio broadcasting and general manager for the college’s radio station, Rustler Radio, was the one who advised the foundation board to host an 80s concert because of the high demand of requests from listeners for 80s music.

This is the first concert the foundation has had and the proceeds from the concert will benefit Central Wyoming College’s scholarship endowment.

“This is a great way to celebrate and raise funds for the future of students,” Ruthenbeck said.

The concert will have a VIP section for sponsorships. The VIP section will have food and beverages and private parking during the concert. A $3,000 sponsorship will include ten VIP passes, ten VIP concert tickets, four parking passes and recognition at the event. A $1,000 sponsorship will include six VIP passes, six VIP concert tickets, two parking passes and recognition at the event.

“To maximize your concert experience we will also be selling tie dye shirts, glow sticks and more during the event,” Ruthenbeck said.

Sponsorship and tickets can be purchased at the CWC Foundation office. General admission tickets can be purchased at the Foundation, R-Rec and through the chamber of commerce at Lander, Riverton and Thermopolis. Tickets are $25. For more information call the Foundation at 307-855-2035.
