Rustlers Recruit More Athletes

CWC signs more athletes this month to join the Rustlers.

Chelsea Badhawk signed a letter of intent last week by coach Al Lara to join the 2016 cross country team. Badhawk is a local student from Lander Valley High School. 

"I have been watching her run since her freshman year and she has improved each year," Lara said. "She will be a good fit for our program at CWC as both a student and a cross country runner. She is someone whose going to work hard to get better as a runner and a student."

Badhawk is a dedicated student who carries a 3.8 GPA and has been chosen as a CWC student ambassador. She will be studying computer science.

Rodeo coach Drew Schrock started signing new team members for the fall season in late March. Currently the team has had seven incoming freshman sign their letters of intent. 

Tymber Taylor from Buffalo, Wyoming will compete in goat tying, breakaway roping, team roping and barrel racing. 

Deni Lou Nichols from Riverton, Wyoming will compete in breakaway roping, team roping and goat tying. 

Morgan Sanderson from Shoshoni, Wyoming will compete in team roping and breakaway roping.

Frankie Orahood from Montana will compete in breakaway roping, team roping and goat tying.

Hadley McCormick from Scottsbluff, Nebraska will compete in tie down roping, team roping and steer wrestling.

Taylor Davidson from Douglas, Wyoming will compete in tie down roping, team roping and steer wrestling.

Jace Berger from Saratoga, Wyoming will compete in tie down roping, team roping and steer wrestling.

"We are excited for this years team and having Shaylee Hance as an assistant coach has helped with recruiting students from Montana. This freshman class has the horsepower and overall talent to do well this season. I look forward to seeing how well the perform at the collegiate level," Schrock said.
