The Central Wyoming College Music Department presents a student recital on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 7pm in the Music Rehearsal Room of the Robert A. Peck Arts Center. The recital will feature current students who are enrolled in individual vocal and instrumental lessons.

CWC voice student, Michelle Bowcutt, will perform a culminating representation of literature she has studied as part of the recital.

Michelle is not the typical student at Central Wyoming College. While benefiting from music teachers in the CWC music department she is also pursuing a degree in Music Education at Valley City State in North Dakota as an online student. This gives us the unique opportunity to hear her senior recital here at our two-year college. ”

While completing her degree, Bowcutt has been a resident of Pavillion where she takes many opportunities to assist in music classes at the local schools. She can be found accompanying singers at any school concerts at Wind River. Bowcutt also participates musically at the Pavillion LDS church where she plays for congregational singing, leads the children’s music time and co-directs the congregational choir. She considers her family of four boys to be her greatest achievement.

Bowcutt is a classically trained soprano and will be sharing selections from several genres including musical theatre, opera, French chanson and German lied. Schubert, Faure and Sondheim are some of the composers that will be represented.

The public is cordially invited to attend and there is no admission fee.
