The 4 Lazy F Corporation has made a generous donation of $25,000 to the Central Wyoming College Foundation’s Heather Lynn Paul Nursing Scholarship Fund.  The Fund has been providing nursing scholarships to Jackson area residents for the past ten years, and is poised to support nursing students into the future.

This donation will help increase the support of our nursing students and we are happy to be able to enhance this specific endowment through donations received. Heather’s legacy of pursuing educational dreams and providing care to others will continue through this endowment. ”

Becky Ruthenbeck, Foundation Director

Members of the Oliver family, whose ties to Jackson date back to the early 1900’s, founded the 4 Lazy F Corporation.  The 4 Lazy F Corporation is the original developer of Cottonwood Park and the owner of the property that eventually sold to the 3 Creek Resort.

Paul was a 13-year resident of Jackson Hole, and was a CWC student through its distance-delivered registered nursing program at the CWC Jackson center, where she received her registered nursing degree in 2004.  After graduating from the program, Paul joined the nursing staff at St. John’s Hospital Living Center.

The endowment fund was established in 2005 by Paul’s mother and twin sister to memorialize her. She was a champion back-country skier and an expert climber who died while descending Cloudveil Dome in the Tetons on July 1, 2005.

The scholarship fund provides financial assistance to Jackson-area residents who are pursuing degrees in nursing.  The first scholarship was awarded in 2008.  Since that time, 22 students have received scholarships.  Many of these graduates have pursued their careers in nursing in the Jackson area.
