Rustler Spotlight- Dietrik Becker

November 22, 2016 by Laura Phagan

Dietrik Becker started his education at Black Hills State University playing for the football team before coming back to pursue a degree in Occupational Therapy. Quickly into the program Becker knew he wanted a career that was more hands-on and decided to switch to nursing.

“I would like to work at a clinic or hospital or maybe even be a surgical nurse,” Becker said. He knew that Central Wyoming College could offer him the education he wanted; just one of many reasons Becker decided to move back to his home town and enroll at CWC.

“I enjoyed my time at Black Hills but CWC is a great place especially for students who aren’t sure what they want to study. This is a great school if you want to stay in state and is worth your time. ”

Becker is now a sophomore at CWC and has one more year to complete his degree. He is a student ambassador and in his free time he enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with family.

Becker was nominated by faculty member Jeff Hosking.

“He is a fine young man,” Hosking said. “He typically has a smile on his face and is gracious to all those he meets. He has a positive influence on the Central Wyoming College campus.”
