September 30, 2016 by Laura Phagan

Cross country runner for CWC Jessica Stewart

Jessica Stewart is a freshman from St. Stephens and wants to be an elementary school teacher; a dream she’s had since she was little.

“Both of my parents are teachers,” Stewart said.

She chose CWC because she wanted to stay close to home and because it was economical. She also received scholarships to help her with college.

Stewart is on the cross-country team and in her free time enjoys writing and baking. Her future plans include going on a missions for her church and attending a four-year college or university to complete a bachelor’s degree in teaching.

Stewart was nominated by her cross-country coach Al Lara.

She is a 4.0 student and is one of CWC’s top female runners. Jessica keeps improving each week as a runner and has a lot of talent not only as a runner but as a student as well. She is a hard worker and I look forward to seeing her future accomplishments. ”
