Rustler Spotlight: Shanda Barlow

October 5, 2016 by Laura Phagan

CWC student of the week Shanda Barlow

Shanda Barlow is freshman studying pre-veterinary science. She is a local girl who decided to stay close to home. Her future plans include to attend the University of Wyoming to complete a bachelor’s degree before attending a veterinary school.

I love the science behind the medical field and I didn’t want to work on humans. I love animals. ”

Barlow plans to be a vet for both small and large animals and wants to return to her home state of Wyoming after she completes her degrees.

She works in the CWC INBRE lab, is a work study for Rustler Central, is an ambassador and is in Student Senate. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and family. She also really enjoys reading.

Barlow was nominated by Krissy Wallage, student record specialist.

“She is willing to help in any way and continues to keep a positive attitude,” Wallage said. “I really enjoy working with her and think she is a great asset to our office as well as CWC.”
