Festival of Carols set for Dec. 10

November 29, 2017

The Central Wyoming College Music Department will present their annual Festival of Carols on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 2 pm in the Robert A. Peck Arts Center Theater.

The Christmas performance will feature the CWC Collegiate Chorale, CWC Woodwind Ensemble, and the Central Wyoming Brass Quintet. The program will be similar to past performances with all performing groups featured on stage together and pieces will flow smoothly between the groups.

This is always one of my favorite concerts. I love the flow of the pieces through the performance. It’s always so peaceful and really captures the joy of the holidays. We are excited to share this concert with the community. ”

Sarah Trembly, director

Narrations and audience participation with traditional Christmas carols will be included. The literature will include arrangements of familiar Christmas carols and holiday music. The performance is under the direction of Trembly and Sharon Dalton. There will be a voluntary goodwill collection taken during the concert and the proceeds will be donated to the Fremont County Good Samaritan Center and the Lander Care and Share Food Bank.

Admission is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served in the gallery following the performance.
