Lauren Gamblin originally applied to attend a university in Maine but when her best friend convinced her to try out for volleyball at CWC her plans changed. Now a sophomore, Gamblin will graduate in May with a degree in communication.

After high school I wanted something different and to be far from home,” she said. “But volleyball opened an opportunity for me that I didn’t think was there. ”

After graduation, Gamblin said she wants to continue her education at a college in Montana. Although she is unsure what to study she has looked into marketing or social work.

“I need to do research and learn more about my passions to decide what career will fit me best.”

Gamblin was nominated by her volleyball coach, Darshaya Gallard.

"She always has a positive attitude and lifts the spirits of everyone around her," Gallard said.

In her free time, Gamblin enjoys hiking, watching movies and funny tv shows. She is on the volleyball team, Gear Up and TRIO.
