Jantzen Isaacson chose CWC because it was affordable and he got the opportunity to play collegiate soccer. In his freshman year, Isaacson is currently in the criminal justice program.

“I thought I wanted to do something in law enforcement,” he said. After careful thought, the Star Valley native who is certified in phlebotomy decided to change his educational goal to pre-medical studies.

I want to be an anesthesiologist. ”

Isaacson plans to transfer to Utah State University. Right now he said he enjoys CWC’s small class ratios so he can work with his professors more one-on-one.

Isaacson enjoys being involved in student life and is on the Campus Activities Executive Board as the vice-chair of records. Isaacson was nominated by his advisor, Laura Phagan.

“Jantzen has been a joy to work with,” Phagan said. “He strives to make student life an exciting one and is not afraid to bring new ideas to CWC. His positive energy quickly boosts other students to join him with any student event. His smile and friendly demeanor are contagious which help make students feel welcome to campus life events.”

In his free-time Isaacson enjoys playing soccer, fishing, golfing and playing board games.
