Meagan Lym started her journey at CWC with the idea of becoming a nurse. She chose CWC for its amazing nursing program but after taking a few classes in psychology she switched her major. Now the psychology major is in her second year at CWC.

I fell in love with my major the first day sitting in Professor Fountain’s class. I knew I made the right choice in switching. Psychology is fascinating. I want to know more about the reasoning behind people’s actions. I am very interested in true crime and what makes them do what they do. ”

Lym said she really loves life on campus as well as teachers.

“They are always so willing to help if you ask,” she said. “I also love free tutoring. It helps so much.”

After Lym graduates she plans to attend Utah State University to earn a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Her goal is to become a forensic psychologist.

In the summers Lym works at Evanston Park and Recreation. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her horse, reading, taking pictures and just being outdoors.

Lym was nominated by Lee Wickstrom, adjunct instructor at CWC.

“Although she hates math, she has been consistent in getting help at the Student Success Center,” Wickstrom said. “She maintains a positive attitude and really shows a desire to learn.”
