Rustler Spotlight: Stormi Cassity

Stormi Cassity is in her second year in the nursing program at CWC. Cassity would like to be an OBGYN/women’s health nurse.

“I want to offer comforting experiences for women and make sure they feel good when they come to the doctor,” Cassity said. 

Cassity chose CWC because of its nursing program after hearing positive experiences from other nursing students.

I think it is a beautiful thing to be involved in the most vulnerable parts of people’s lives. Whether it’s their experience with birth, death or general illness, it is really special to walk people through those moments. ”

Her plans are to finish the nursing program and stay in the area to work in the health care system. She is currently working on her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wyoming while finishing her nursing degree at CWC.

Cassity is a social media ambassador for CWC, works in the marketing office and is part of the Entrada club. In her free time, she officiates volleyball, studies and enjoys hanging out with her husband, mom and dog.

Cassity was nominated by the CWC marketing department.

“Stormi is the true definition of a hard worker. She is a joy to work with and brings a unique perspective to any project marketing is working on,” Marketing said. “She is a dedicated and honest person who isn’t afraid to take the lead on any project given to her.”
