March 8, 2017 by Orin Smith, CWC student intern

Central Wyoming College will host the annual Fremont County Employment Job Expo at the CWC Arts Center March 23 from 9am-3pm.

CWC students and members of the community alike can stop in and talk to local employers who are looking for individuals to work for their company. Some of which include, Fremont County School District Number 25, Shoshone Rose Casino and Chemtrade Logistics. Recruiters from the United States Army will also be present.

Last year the attendance reached 250 people as attendees went to classes that taught interview strategies as well as building a better resume. Ann Even workforce trainer for CWC said she is hopeful that this event will help students who are graduating and for those who are looking for summer work should have success finding work with about 30 employers present at the event.

Thomas Dent a second year CWC student who is graduating in May also has high hopes for the expo.

I'm looking to find a job that allows me to interact with many people. As a film major, communication is important, so being exposed to people of different backgrounds will help me polish that skill. ”
