WyomingPBS Acquires Casper Station

[March 20, 2018] Riverton, WY - Mark III Media and Gray Television have agreed to donate the license for Casper station KGWC, Channel 14, along with the KGWC transmitter to Central Wyoming College, to be operated by WyomingPBS. WyomingPBS has filed with the FCC, permission to change the station from a commercial to a non-commercial license and to change the call letters.

“With FCC approval, we plan to air the WyomingPBS 24/7 Kids channel to viewers in the Casper – Lander – Riverton market,” said WyomingPBS General Manager Terry Dugas. “Children’s television viewing is highest in the evenings and throughout the weekend.  WyomingPBS Kids 24/7 will provide parents and children the highest quality programming 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”

The channel will initially be available to over-the-air viewers with an antenna in the described service area. WyomingPBS hopes to provide the broadcast service to cable and satellite companies in the future.
