Central Wyoming College will offer two in-depth leadership classes this fall, Foundations of Leadership and Personal Leadership.  Both will be taught by Sandy Hessler.

“After a very successful and sold out Foundations of Leadership class this past winter, we are committed to continuing our leadership curriculum and providing opportunities for professionals of all levels to work on their personal development,” said Dean of Business and Technology Lynne McAuliffe.

The college will re-offer Foundations of Leadership this fall, the first course and pre-requisite for the Leadership Certificate Program.  Foundations of Leadership will be offered Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7:30 starting Tuesday, September 3rd through Tuesday, October 8th.  There will be one Saturday workshop on Saturday, September 21 from 9-1 as well.  This first course explores how various influences have shaped leadership models over time and how those influences still have an impact on how we may lead today.

Foundations of Leadership will be followed by Personal Leadership.  This course again meets Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7:30, starting on October 15 and ending Dec 10.  Both courses will be simulcast on the CWC Riverton and Lander campuses.

Instructor Sandy Schultz Hessler comes with more than 30 years of business experience from organizations including IBM, Procter & Gamble, and Harvard University. She taught at Tufts University, Miami of Ohio and Harvard and is the instructor and co-director of CWC’s Start-Up Intensive.

Building strong leadership skills and an awareness of your personal leadership strengths can make all the difference in whether you’re looking to further your career or just beginning your college or professional journey. These courses provide the learning and the tools for daily practice to become your best leader. ”
