Serdar Gayybov is an international student from Mazy, Turkmenistan. He is pursuing a degree in health science with hopes of continuing his education to a medical or nursing school. Gayybov said he was still deciding if he wants to become a nurse practitioner or a doctor of medicine. Gayybov wanted to start his college education at a smaller institute, where he could work on developing his English before attending a larger college.

I really enjoy trying new things, which is why I came here. CWC’s staff gave me a very good impression before I got here. ”

Gayybov is a student ambassador and just signed a letter of intent to play soccer at CWC. He was nominated by his English professor, Buck Tilton.

“With English as a second (or maybe third) language, Serdar stands out in class in not only academic achievement but also as a positive influence on us all,” Tilton said. “He is consistently and quietly supportive, deeply dedicated to learning, and a pleasure to work with.”
