After the completion of 120 hours of formal training, candidates for the Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) are required to have a minimum of three hours of formal classroom observation and create a Professional Resource File. Class Assignments, discussions, and activities will be used to create the resource file. Observations will be coordinated by the instructor in the appropriate setting for the credential being sought.
