The course is designed in a blended format that requires the student to complete the AHA HeartCode? Basic Life Support web-based training prior to completing a hands-on skills practice and testing session with AHA BLS instructor. BLS certification is required for individuals who provide direct care for patients in all healthcare settings, as well as other professional roles having direct contact with the public, including daycare providers, school district employees, law enforcement, and emergency services personnel.
