Students develop skills in sight reading, music theory, and instrumental technique within the ensemble setting. Band members evaluate music performed using recordings (video and audio) of concerts. In addition members evaluate recorded examples of literature the band is currently rehearsing. Each musical work is performed with consideration to its cultural/historical context.
