Riverton senior signs to play golf with CWC

Local girl, Kendra Miller signed with Central Wyoming College to play golf for the 2016 fall season. Miller signed her official letter of intent on Tuesday Nov. 3.

Season opener ends in split

The men’s basketball team opened up the 2015-16 season with a split at the Tip Off Classic in Casper this past weekend. The Rustlers fell to Air Force Academy in the first game, 77-64, but bounced back to down Impact Academy, 81-68.

Rustler Runner makes cross country championships

Central Wyoming College cross country runner Clay Johnson will compete in Fort Dodge, Iowa for the NJCAA cross country championships Nov. 14. Johnson earned his way to the championships at regionals in Gillette this past weekend.

Quarantine lifted at equine center

The recent quarantine has been lifted from the CWC Equine Center in the case of vesicular stomatitis virus that was confirmed in Fremont County and at the equine center which resulted in two horses contracting the virus.

Vesicular stomatitis virus hit Fremont County; CWC taking precautions

A case of vesicular stomatitis virus, most commonly found in horses, has been confirmed in Fremont County. There have been two confirmed horses at the CWC Equine Center and the equine center has gone into quarantine.

Meet the lady Rustlers! Cheer them on this season. Their first scrimmage will be against Eastern Wyoming College and will be on Oct. 16 at 3 pm in Torrington, Wyo.

Cross country team prepares for regionals

Central Wyoming College cross country team returned from their fifth meet of the fall season. The meet was in Billings, Mont. for the Montana State University-Billings invitational. There were six teams with 65 runners for the 8k.

Rodeo wraps up the season with eight in the leader board for the region

Central Wyoming College’s rodeo team wrapped up the fall season with eight team members in the top ten for the region standing. The team finished the season in Cheyenne at the Laramie County Community College rodeo this last weekend with eight cowboys and cowgirls placing in the top ten for the rodeo.
